Warside, as we've happily been reminded, is a 2D strategy game reminiscent of Advance Wars. However, unlike that wonderful series, it's coming to PS5 and PS4. We don't have a confirmed release date just yet, but it's coming to PC on 14th April, with the PlayStation iterations coming shortly after.
With more than 25 unit types, including specialist infantry like snipers, saboteurs, medics, and mortar teams, in addition to the expected tanks, aircraft, and battleships, it sounds like it might be quite a bit more complex tactically speaking. With 12 playable Commanders, each with a unique Battle Power and passive ability, and a story campaign featuring more than 30 missions across gorgeous pixel art battlefields, Warside is shaping up to be a worthy alternative for those craving some classic strategy action.

What do you think of Warside? Have you glanced enviously at Nintendo players, enjoying the apparently excellent Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp? Let us know in the comments section below.

Influenced was not the word I was looking for. More like shameless ripoff.
Definitely looks like a fun game you could pick up when you dont have 3-4 hours of gametime avaliable. I for one will be checking this out, also love the artstyle, more strategy games for playstation!
never played advance wars or a clone of those games, looked interesting enough for me to get the switch remaster for both advance wars games just to drop it in the last mission of the first game. it got too "samey" for me. that lead to drop wargroove from my wishlist.
How has this game evaded the infamous Nintendo move of Cease-and-Desist?
Looks almost 100% like Advance Wars.
"reminiscent of" sorry PS, are you being paid to promote these?
I don't like the character design.
Gunna grab this same as wargroove by looks and battalions games from years back on miniclip🤣
@N1ghtW1ng Right? I had to do a double take before I saw the not-as-good character art.
